The OmnIoT SoftHub Platform (Release Candidate 191208)
This document provides a list of pre-requisites to installing the OmnIoT SoftHub Platform
and a description of the Installation Package contents. Before proceeding with installation
we would strongly suggest familiarizing yourself with the document titled "Introduction:
The OmnIoT SoftHub Platform" available from the downloads section of our Support Page.
Requirements:
To install the OmnIoT SoftHub Platform you will need the following:
(1) A Raspberry PI 3 or Raspberry Pi Zero/W running Raspbian Stretch image
"2019-06-20-raspbian-buster-lite" or later.
(2) A Windows PC to run the SoftHub Configuration Utility.
(3) (Optional) A Windows PC (or Windows Server cloud instance) to run the Packet
Capture Service.
(4) (Optional) The ability to connect to ANT sensors requires that you have an
ANT radio dongle inserted into one of the USB ports on your Raspberry Pi device.
Package (OmnIoT191208InstallRC.zip file) Contents:
(1) Documentation subdirectory - This directory contains the Introduction and
Configuration User Guides for the SoftHub Platform.
(2) Configuration Utility subdirectory - This directory contains the files required
to install the SoftHub Configuration Utility on your Windows PC. It also
contains the "InstallReadMe.txt" file to guide you through steps required to
install or uninstall the Configuration Utility itself.
(3) Packet Capture Service subdirectory - This directory contains the files required
to install the Packet Capture Service on your Windows PC or Windows Server cloud
instance. It also contains the "InstallReadMe.txt" file to guide you through steps
required to fully install, uninstall, and configure the Packet Capture Service
itself.
(4) Raspberry Pi subdirectory - This directory contains the files required
to install the SoftHub Application daemon on your Raspberry Pi 3 or Raspberry Pi
Zero/W device. It also contains the "InstallReadMe.txt" file to guide you through
steps required to fully install, uninstall, and configure the SoftHub Application
daemon itself.
